Website Development Intern

The College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences is seeking an intern for immediate employment to work with the CSU Equine Orthopeadic Research Center in the redesign, content development and implementation of their new website. CVMBS has an overall new website design, is working in cascading style sheets and implementing SharePoint 2010. Working with the ORC team and the Strategic Initiatives team in the CVMBS Dean’s Office, the intern will apply website design best practices, utilize the current design and structure and recommend, make recommendations and modify content for an improved user experience, and develop new content to complete a website that matches the world-class reputation of Dr. Wayne McIlwraith and the CSU Orthopeadic Research Center.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• HTML and Dreamweaver
• Adobe CS3-5 for photo, video and other design and editing
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet project benchmarks

Qualifications:
At least a 3rd or 4th year student majoring in CIS, Business Information Systems.
Demonstrated html skills in an independent work environment

Position Specifics:
The position will work 30-40 hours per week during the summer and could have potential for additional part-time work into the school year.

Compensation:
$10-12 hour based on experience
Excellent portfolio project when complete.
