Technical Writing Support

Parking and Transportation Services is hosting a summer internship for a student seeking a resume-building experience in technical-writing.

The intern will help develop an instructional guide and related collateral for a new student team (RamBassadors) that will provide transportation and travel training-related services at Colorado State University starting this August. The intern will be responsible for crafting the following:

1. Help Develop Training Manual for this New Set of Employees
2. Create Hand-held Instructional Checklist / Instructions for Employee to Perform Related Job Duties like Data Collection, On-Site Education, Event Preparation
3. Collaborate with our Sign Shop to Create Hand-Held Visual Tools to Help Communicate with Commuters on Bike Paths, Sidewalks, Walkzones, and Intersections.

Desired Skill Set:

1. Coursework and Related-Experience in Technical Writing
2. Demonstrated Ability to Use Microsoft Word and Powerpoint to Instruct and Train Employees
3. Ability to “Translate” a Technical Concept to Train the Intended Audience

Commitment:

This internship will encompass the Summer Semester at CSU between May and August. The internship will require 20 hours per week during this time period. The paid internship will pay $9.80 – $11.00 per hour.
