Summer Public Relations Internship at ACPR

ACPR is hiring!

We’re looking for 1-2 stellar interns to join our in-house team during the summer semester. If you’re currently enrolled in a four-year college program at the senior level with previous internship experience, a self-starter, savvy communicator, social media whiz, and interested in working in the communications field after graduation, this may be the right fit for you!

Interns are required to work 20+ hours per week from May 16th to August 19th. This internship is unpaid or for credit.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support ACPR staff with day-to-day administrative requests
• Compile and submit monthly editorial calendars and awards
• Compile and submit weekly news round ups and press hit sweeps
• Compile and submit daily editor updates, HARO opportunities and Google Alerts
• Management of internal lists
• Management and organize monthly print magazine subscriptions
• Writing assignments
• Management of product mailings
• Social media maintenance

Basic job requirements:

• Be enrolled in a four-year college program at the senior level
• Have prior internship experience
• Have a passion for beauty, home and lifestyle brands
• Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and a strong grasp on both AP and creative writing styles
• Be social media savvy
• Be a self starter, highly organized, have the initiative to start and maintain projects, and be able to multi-task
• Be a pop culture junkie! Know what’s hot in the press and to consumers.
• Have experience with Cision, Hootsuite, InDesign and WordPress
• Must love dogs! We’re a dog friendly office.
