Student Media Specialist

The Center for Collaborative Conservation (CCC) is hiring a part-time student media specialist intern for approximately 10 hours per week. Hourly rate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
We are looking for a mature and motivated student who can support communication efforts of the Center for Collaborative communication through social media, creation of promotional videos, marketing, public relations and writing.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Photo and video document CCC/ CCC Undergraduate Initiative (UI) activities including field trips, Collaborative Colorado (CC) meetings, student panel discussions, and undergraduate internships.
• Develop 3.5 minute movie of CCC/UI for crowd-funding and other fundraising purposes
• Help update and maintain social media presence, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn
• Conduct video interviews and edit to create short promotional clips for social media platforms
• Help draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories to campus media
• Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications

Skills/Qualifications-
• Current CSU student, available Fall 2014
• Preferred work commitment of two semesters or more
• Willingness and ability to work with a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs
• Proficiency in social media marketing
• Copy editing ability
• Creativity
• Web design and/or website content management experience a plus
• Graphic design experience a plus
• Video editing experience a plus
• Merit-based work-study award for fall and spring semesters
• Journalism Major preferred
