Spring Public Relations Internship

Allyson Conklin Public Relations (www.allysonconklinpr.com), a boutique public relations agency specializing in beauty, home and lifestyle brands, is seeking one spring intern. All applicants must be currently enrolled in a four-year college program at the junior level or higher, be a self-starter, passionate about pop culture and interested in working in the communications field after graduation.

Interns are required to work 15 hours per week from January 19th to May 8th. This internship is unpaid or for credit.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Support ACPR staff with day-to-day administrative requests
-Collect and present daily HARO queries and Google Alerts
-Compile and submit weekly news round ups and press sweeps
-Manage and organize monthly print magazine subscriptions
-Management of monthly editorial and award calendars
-Writing assignments
-Management of client product mailings
-Social media management for ACPR clients
-Management of ACPR social media channels

Basic job requirements:
-Have a passion for beauty, home and lifestyle brands
-Have excellent communication skills: verbal and written
-Have a strong understanding of the AP writing style
-Be a self starter and have the initiative to start and maintain projects
-Be able to multi-task
-Be highly organized
-Be a pop culture junkie! Know what’s hot in the press and to consumers.
