Specialty Publications Internship

The Specialty Publications Intern will write and edit feature stories for a variety of magazines and specialty publications. Topics include writing about home, community, health, lifestyle, school and for our signature product, Longmont Magazine. Must be comfortable interviewing sources to find a human interest side of the story, as well as brainstorming for story ideas. Ability to work with staff photographer to develop photo ideas and illustrations. Experience in multimedia and photography a plus. Good communication skills and positive attitude a must. Knowledge of AP style required, as well as solid grammar skills. Must be earning class credit. Reliable transportation required.

The Longmont Times-Call Specialty Publications department has ongoing openings for interns to help in production of magazines and specialty publications. Interested students should contact Summer Stair, the specialty publications associate editor, through e-mail by submitting a resume, cover letter explaining their experience and at least three samples of work.
