Job Description

Job Purpose:

This position will assist the communications and events manager with the daily planning and execution of several social media channels and will be responsible for creating and presenting a Chamber-specific social media policy.

Duties:
•    Managing social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Flickr and YouTube
o    Includes updating status/tweets with event promotion
o    Uploading photos
o    researching and posting business relevant articles
o    re-tweeting, posting on Chamber Investor’s posts
o    Promoting general Chamber news
o    Updating www.hootsuite.com for social media management
•    Assist with the maintenance of computer database of chamber contacts.
•    Create a Loveland chamber social media contact list by directly connecting with investors to obtain this information)
•    Research and compile others ways to increase the Loveland Chamber’s online presence (through Wikipedia, etc.)
•    Administrative functions also exist including assistance in answering phones, event registrations, room changes for meetings, etc.

Skills/Qualifications:
•    2-years of education and/or experience in Public or Media Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or combination.
•    Experience with Web-based technology and audio/visual technology for communication purposes, and strong computer skills including word processing and presentations.
•    A general understanding of social media and its importance to an overall marketing/PR campaign
•    Must exhibit competency in MS Office, especially Word, Outlook, Publisher and Excel as well as membership database.
•    Well-organized and detail-oriented.
•    Must be self-driven and able to manage long-term projects without repeated direction.
