Social Media Intern

Position Overview:
The Communication/Social Media Interns will work in direct support of the Deputy Director. Interns will advance the messaging and branding of the North Metro Children’s Advocacy Center through social media, the Web, print and electronic marketing pieces, and additional outlets.

Minimum 10 hours a week.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Deputy Director in maintenance of the NMCAC webpage and development of web presence
• Manage the agency’s presence in various social media environments in support of events.
• Research best practices regarding event communications and marketing.
• Additional event- and communications-related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Communications or marketing major a plus
• Willingness and ability to work with a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, and familiarity with WordPress
• Proficiency in social media marketing
• Copy editing ability
• Creativity
• Sense of humor
• Preferred work commitment of two semesters or more (one-semester internships will be considered)
• Web design and/or website content management experience a plus
• Interns are eligible to receive course credit.
• Graphic design experience a plus
