Social and Digital Media Intern – International Programs

The Office of International Programs (OIP) creates and fosters international activities at Colorado State University and around the world. OIP offers a broad array of programs and services designed to provide international experiences for all CSU students, scholars, faculty and staff.

The Social and Digital Media Intern is a part-time position that assists the International Programs Communications Manager with digital media, web communications, and social media. This position plays an integral role in engaging CSU students, faculty and staff in international activities at Colorado State University.

Under the supervision of the Communications Manager, the Social and Digital Media Intern will:
- Assist in daily creation of social media content, including (but not limited to):
o Event promotion
o Creating photos, graphics, and short videos
o Engaging with CSU students
o Tracking analytics
- Attend events to create content for various channels
- Maintain and update website news section and calendar listings
- Assist with miscellaneous tasks as necessary

Required Qualifications:
- Current CSU enrolled in 12 or more credit hours
- Strong knowledge of various social media platforms
- Excellent writing/grammar/communication skills
- Ability to write in a range of styles for varying target demographics
- Knowledge of social media platforms and strategies
- Passion for the Colorado State community and a willingness to foster the growth of that community through use of social media platforms
- Willingness to perform as part of a team while possessing a strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy, collaboration and high quality results
- Dedication to professional standards while maintaining a creative spirit and a sense of fun
- Ability to work with minimal direction and produce quality results in an efficient manner

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience creating content for branded social media accounts
- Graphic design, photography or videography experience
- Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and WordPress
- International experience

Hours:
- Flexible schedule, 10 hours a week

Compensation:
- $12/hour
- Eligible for up to 3 JTC 487/687 internship credits
