Publications, PR, and Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern/Publications and PR works as part of a seven-member marketing department and assists both the Publications Coordinator and the Public Relations Associate.

Responsibilities include:
• Comprehensive work on a four-page weekly newspaper insert (of Festival-related features) including: coordinating and conducting interviews with music and non-music sources, article writing, brainstorming story angles, and layout and production in InDesign
• Production of a weekly calendar of events
• Publicity-related tasks including collection and dissemination of press clippings, general assistance on special events, and artist-interview logistics
• Assistance with other publications and public relations tasks as needed

Schedule flexibility is essential; some evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications: Applicant must be a people person, as well as possess excellent feature-writing, interviewing, organizational, and computer skills, work well and independently under pressure, and be punctual and detail- and deadline-oriented. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, as well as publication style guidelines (AP or Chicago) is essential. Knowledge and appreciation of classical music highly preferred but not required. Professional conduct and appearance expected. Must have access to a car in Aspen. We love meticulous work and a good sense of humor.

Compensation: Stipend plus housing
