Agricultural students with journalism or communications training are encouraged to apply for Progressive Publishing’s 2015 editorial internship program. Applications are due Jan. 20, 2015.

Editorial interns will be responsible for writing feature and news articles for one or more of the company’s agricultural magazines as well as copyediting and photography. The internship may be tailored to those with particular skill sets, including design, web content, social media and marketing.

Applicants should maintain a 3.0 or greater GPA in college coursework and have previous writing experience. Students who have completed coursework for their junior or senior year are preferable. The internship is based at the company’s headquarters in Jerome, Idaho. It is a paid internship, and assistance in locating housing and arranging transportation will be provided. Applicants looking to complete an internship based remotely are also encouraged to apply. Internship beginning and completion dates are flexible to accommodate class schedules and graduation dates.

Applicants should plan to submit a cover letter, resume, three references and examples of published work. Submit one of the following groups of work that relates to your field of expertise: five articles, five ad designs or layouts, three marketing campaigns or three websites.
