TaylorCatProductions, a multimedia production company, is looking for interns to help with production of “Homefront Heroines: The WAVES of World War II.” The project includes a robust web platform and a documentary film slated for PBS distribution. Interns on the project will gain invaluable experience and will also receive a “Production Assistant” credit in the film and on the website. Positions are open until filled; length of internship is negotiable (minimum eight weeks) until the project wraps in December 2011.

The production assistant will work with the producer and director, helping with elements associated with film production, including identifying and and assessing b-roll, sorting and categorizing archival film and photographs, working with archives to obtain additional materials, tracking rough audio segments, and other jobs as needed for a documentary production. Possibility for shooting and editing, depending upon the skills of the intern. This is an ideal position for a student who is interested in learning the ins and outs of post-production on a documentary for national television and film festival distribution.
