Volume Public Relations is an award winning, full service public relations agency, celebrating a 13 year history serving clients worldwide from its Colorado headquarters. Representing the PGA TOUR’s return to Denver this fall as the agency of record for the Cherry Hills 2014 BMW Championship, Volume PR serves a wide variety of clients across key sectors of B2B, technology, healthcare and consumer goods. Volume PR is noted for producing more awareness, more customers, and more results for our clients due to our unique integration of the principles of Cognitive Science into the practice of marketing communications.

Volume is hiring two interns to join its growing teams south metro offices. Our internships are intended for college juniors, seniors, recent graduates or professionals wishing to develop a focus in PR, content marketing and social media. Internships are unpaid with college course credit available. We are looking for candidates that can invest a minimum of 20 hours a week, but prefer full time. Paid positions for exceedingly qualified candidates may be available.

Job Description:

The Volume PR intern positions provide integral support across all functions and clients within the agency. Our interns begin with training in industry leading marketing and PR software systems, and then enjoy regular, hands-on experience supporting our internal and client social media and PR campaign strategy development and execution. Volume PR’s interns are also exposed to the agency’s one-of-a-kind cognitive science based approach to structuring communication and public relations systems, including the support and development of content marketing materials.


•Social media campaign management
•Content marketing strategies and content development, including presentations, social content & formally written content
•Tactical PR program support & management
•Media Relations
•Learn agency specific software resources
•eMail marketing campaign management
•Maintain content development editorial calendars
•Trade Show & award opportunity event management


•Bachelor’s degree obtained or currently being pursued in Communication, Marketing or PR. Relevant coursework or club involvement is a plus
•Excellent organizational skills and the ability to move between tasks quickly
•Meticulous attention to detail and ability to self copy edit
•Familiarity with Mac/Apple operating system. Ability to learn new software systems quickly.
•Experience with Mac office software Keynote and Pages a plus
•Exceptional oral and written communication skills
•Strong drive to achieve results
•Visual aesthetic skills & interest in developing visual communication skills
•Enthusiastic, positive attitude that works well on a team, and independently
•Resourceful and efficient research and problem-solving approach a must
