Washington, D.C. Non-Profit Hiring for its Fort Collins Branch
Drive Electric Northern Colorado (DENC) seeks a motivated intern to work in diverse roles for its Fort Collins branch. At DENC our interns are integral to helping our program run, and gain valuable experience in the field of non-profit management. 100% of our interns have gone directly from our internship into a full-time job in their chosen sector! In this job you will learn how to engage corporate partners, write professionally, help develop quarterly outreach programs, and other key skills to non-profits like data analysis, grant writing, and more! You do not need to have knowledge about electric vehicles, but a passion for policy, non-profits, community engagement, sustainability, transportation, or technology will be viewed favorably!
DENC is a project of The Electrification Coalition (EC), an advocacy group in the Washington D.C. area committed to the widespread deployment of electric vehicles nationwide. This is a part time opportunity, with a limited number of paid positions available along with some volunteer opportunities.

About Drive Electric Northern Colorado and the Electrification Coalition:
DENC is a pioneering initiative of the EC, which intends to turn Fort Collins and Loveland into a living laboratory for electric vehicle (EV) deployment. Creating this EV deployment community involves consumer education and marketing, outreach, streamlining codes and standards, planning for and installing charging infrastructure, and garnering support from the business community. This intern will report to the Electrification Coalition’s Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives, and work closely the other program intern and full-time Fort Collins staff member. It is expected that the time commitment will be 20 hours per week. Official start date will be August 29th and training will be the week before (August 22nd through the 26th).

Key Responsibilities will include:
-Professional write-ups such as blogs, newsletters, and press releases
-Help plan and coordinate events
-Maintain and grow business partners throughout the region through phone calls, email, and in-person meetings;
-Some graphic design work
-Supporting and engaging our community of EV Enthusiasts and volunteers
-Other diverse roles.

Qualified candidates will exhibit the following characteristics:
-Exceptional written and oral communication skills, demonstrated editing and reading abilities;
-Internet savvy, ability to interact professionally with businesses and enthusiasts through online platforms;
-High energy, ability to work as part of a team, ability to successfully work from home;
-Professional appearance and demeanor;
-Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly; and
-A flexible schedule.
