PAID MARKETING COORDINATOR JOB- Campus Rec Fitness

The primary responsibility for the Fitness Program’s student marketing employee is assisting the Assistant Director and Coordinator in developing and implementing an efficient marketing plan for the Campus Recreation Fitness Program. This is a part-time, 10-15 hours per week, academic year position that provides the student with an hourly wage. The position reports primarily to the Campus Recreation Fitness Assistant Director and secondarily to the Fitness Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develop marketing materials specific to the identified target audiences. Materials include: posters, banners, flyers, Collegian ads, announcements, etc.
•Assist with web edits, social media, and other internet based media
•Coordinate marketing projects with university media and printing entities
•Continue to utilize creativity and develop unique methods to market fitness programs
•Follow the most recent University marketing guidelines in regards to color, paper, logo use, etc.
•Assist in developing health education materials

OTHER DUTIES:
•Available early mornings, evenings, University breaks, and/or weekends

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Demonstrated marketing, computer, graphic design, and writing skills
•Degree seeking in one of the following areas: marketing, journalism, communication, art, or other as approved by Assistant Director
•Program experience: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
•Personal characteristics including positive attitude, outgoing personality, adaptability
•Commitment to pride in excellence and high service standards
•Awareness and knowledge of the fitness industry
•Preferred: One year working experience in a fitness program
