Paid Marketing Assistant for CSU Online

The student marketing coordinator will work within the CSU Online Marketing Department assisting the Digital Content Strategist in editing website content and creating email newsletters.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Editing web and landing pages throughout the CSU Online website
• Posting monthly featured content on the homepage
• Updating time-sensitive information on the CSU Online website (application deadlines, tuition information, etc.)
• Creating HTML web and landing pages based on existing templates
• Creating HTML emails in the email service provider, Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), and/or HTML editor, based on existing templates
• Assisting the team with reporting needs, including: compiling web metrics from Google Analytics and updating email tracking reports

Additional responsibilities include:

• Developing and nurturing positive internal and external working relationships by giving timely responses, demonstrating professional behavior and work ethic, and representing the Division and CSU in a manner that builds trust and collaboration
• Demonstrating initiative and exercising critical thinking
• Being committed to continued learning and sharing of knowledge as part of the marketing team culture
• Performing other web marketing duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and to prioritize and organize effectively
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Team player with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
• Interest in learning online marketing tactics and strategy
• Experience working within Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Experience working with HTML

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Universal Analytics, and/or Google Tag Manager
• Efficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of web and email best practices
• Experience with SEO
