Multimedia Journalist – College of Health and Human Sciences

The College of Health and Human Sciences Dean’s Office is seeking a dynamic student to help us get the word out to our constituents about the exciting work being done in our college. This is a hands-on, real-world opportunity. Position is 10 -20 hours per week (flexible). Come and work for us this summer and stay on through the academic year!

Primary Responsibilities: 
1. Tell the college’s stories, including writing profiles of student activities and faculty research for CSU’s SOURCE
2. Photography – capture images to accompany the stories
3. Video – take video clips where appropriate
4. Draft social media posts to accompany stories

Requested Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding editing skills with knowledge of AP Style
2. Photography and video editing skills are a plus (opportunity to learn these skills)
3. Highly organized, detail-oriented, flexible
4. Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and meet short deadlines
5. Willingness to work weekend/evening hours when requested (minimal)

Work schedule 10-20 hours per week, 2-4 hours most days, Monday – Friday, preferred, opportunity to begin during summer break and continue for the 2017-2018 academic year, opportunity for course credit.

Work-Study preferred; successful candidates without an award will be asked to apply for Merit Work-Study.

This position pays $10.41 per hour.
