Marketing and Multimedia Assistant

The Marketing and Multimedia Assistant is a student position that assists the CSU Health Network Assistant Director of Marketing Communications with CSU Health Network’s marketing communications initiatives, including multimedia projects, social media and other promotional outreach efforts.

Major Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Marketing Communications, the Marketing and Multimedia Assistant will:

• Assist with the planning and development of general marketing and public relations campaigns for the CSU Health Network
• Represent the CSU Health Network at campus resource fairs, summer orientation activities and special events
• Assist with the management of CSU Health Network social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
• Assist with the management of CSU Health Network electronic display screens (training provided)
• Update content on the CSU Health Network website
• Produce and prepare files for digital uploads, including photography, illustrations and video
• Ensure materials are consistent with CSU Health Network and CSU brand identities
• Communicate weekly with supervisor about project(s) status
• Attend events and programs for photography and videography needs
• Maintain an organized content calendar for consistent messaging across multiple platforms
• Maintain an organized folder structure for all photo and video files
• Work collaboratively with other CSU Health Network employees and independently on projects
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Marketing Communications

Position Qualifications:
Minimum
• Experience writing copy for print and digital media
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• Experience with website content management
• Strong expressive communications skills
• Proficient computer skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Ability to commit up to 15 hours each week to CSU Health Network Projects
Preferred
• Experience with photography and filming, including camera work, art direction and editing
• Experience with WordPress
• Graphic design experience
• Work experience indicating attention to detail and follow through
• Demonstrated experience managing projects independently
• Interest in healthcare marketing and public health communications

Compensation
Up to 15 hours/week at $9.78 per hour

Starting Date:
Anticipated starting date is May 26, 2015. Position needed throughout the summer and fall semesters.
