United Way of Larimer County needs a

Marketing and Communications intern to assist in the Marketing Department. As an intern at United Way of Larimer County, you will be exposed to the day-to-day processing and execution of marketing strategies, gain “real world” experience working on important projects and develop many outstanding writing pieces for your professional portfolio. You will be a vital member of United Way of Larimer County’s marketing team and support the entire organization with your superior writing and communication skills. Reports to

Pam Davis, Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Key Responsibilities

• Support United Way of Larimer County marketing department

• Assist in the writing of marketing materials including event invitations, newsletters and press releases

• Research projects

• Media tracking, including print, online and social media

• Complete administrative projects such as labeling mailings, delivery and pick-up of various materials

• Other duties as assigned


• Minimum of one year in a marketing, journalism, or communications program. Excellent organizational skills

• Excellent written and oral communications

• Must be a self-starter who will develop and find ways to increase marketing efforts

• Minimum commitment of one semester

• Fifteen to twenty hours-per-week time commitment

• Willingness to attend various events outside of the regular business hours of 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday
