Graphic Design Intern

A little about us: The Office of CSU Events & Donor Relations oversees and implements over 300 events a year including the President’s Fall Address and University Picnic, Homecoming & Family Weekend, the 1870 DINNER, Ram Good Time Auction, and the President’s Community Lecture Series.

The position: Interns will gain hands-on experience developing digital and print media, and marketing pieces for a variety of University events. The Graphic Design Intern will serve as a member of the CSU Events Communications team, which is committed to advancing the messaging and branding of Colorado State University through the Web, print/electronic marketing pieces, social media, and additional outlets.

Other responsibilities include:
• Work closely with the Assistant Director of Event Communications in development of event marketing and communications materials.
• Assist in design and editing of pieces such as event invitations.
• Ensure departmental adherence to University branding and communications guidelines. Research best practices regarding event communications.
• Additional communications, marketing, and event-related duties, as assigned.

We are looking for a current CSU student, available Summer and Fall 2015. A sense of humor is a plus!

Other qualifications include:
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows
•Willingness and ability to work with a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to detail
• Copy editing ability
• Creativity

Students will be brought on in an unpaid internship capacity for the Summer, with the option of being hired on for paid work in the Fall semester. This internship is also available to class credit.
