GoAbroad.com Editorial Intern Wanted this Fall

GoAbroad.com is seeking one (1) diehard traveler with insatiable love for the written word to join our team as an Editorial Intern this fall.

If you can whip up dazzling content like a boss, have experience studying/volunteering/teaching/ interning/traveling meaningfully abroad, love a good adventure, support living out your passions, and value experiential education, keep reading because we have the perfect writing gig for YOU!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Promote thought leadership in the field of international education and the meaningful travel industry.
- Contribute assigned monthly guides, operate within deadlines, and manage time independently.
- Guide writing may include extensive research in subject areas you have little first-hand experience in.
- Edit submissions from other guide contributors; manage their writing publications from start to finish.
- Submit drafts on time, and then edit, revise, and review work in response to feedback effectively.
- Innovate new approaches to content creation in harmony with the GoAbroad.com brand.
- Remain up-to-date on education industry trends and be willing to mold your writing to effectively fit with online content marketing techniques.
- Follow very structured editorial guidelines, voice, and style requirements and adapt to new requirements, both editorial and technical, as pieces develop.
- Be committed to inspiring others to see the world!

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT. . .
- Has a heart for meaningful travel.
- Must have laptop computer to use in the office
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Feels comfortable writing conversational, informative, research-driven articles that communicate the value of experiential education.
- Employs digital copywriting experience with ample social media experience.
- Is a willing and talented researcher of topics and trends that relate to the field of international education and travel.

It would also be cool (and useful) if you have. . .
- a background (or are working toward a degree in) one or more of the following areas: Marketing, Journalism, Online Marketing, Intercultural Studies, Creative Writing, International Education, or any other related field
- experience traveling in multiple world regions
- varied experience volunteering, studying, teaching, interning, TEFL, working, high school, or earning a degree abroad.

WHEN DO WE NEED YOU?
From August 29, 2016 – December 16, 2016, totaling 16 weeks. 10-15 hours weekly in our offices in beautiful Fort Collins, CO. This is a great opportunity for current college students/YPs who are looking to break into the world of online or travel writing while also learning some competitive marketing skills to boot.
