Digital Storyteller Intern

Do you love to create compelling digital (photography or video) stories? Are you curious about the people and organizations that are part of your community? Do you like to work with people, cameras, computers, and the Internet? If you answered yes – then you could be our next Digital Storyteller at United Way of Larimer County. During this internship, you will work closely with the VP of Marketing and Communications. This internship will give you a ton of hands-on experience in digital storyteller. You will walk away with actual projects that you can highlight in your reel, portfolio, and on LinkedIn.

Responsibilities include:
- Research and pitch ideas to VP of Marketing and team
- Develop and craft storyboards
- Create pre-production schedules, shot lists, production, and finalize story in post production
- Identify specific communication channels for distribution
- Distribute story via social media channels, radio, tv, billboards
- Track outcomes and assess with Marketing team
- Promote stories via social media channels using specific hashtags that you created

Skills and opportunities you may gain:

- Practicing and improving journalistic writing skills, video production, and marketing distribution
- Improving organization skills and project management
- Gaining experience in a fast growing non-profit business
- Work in a cross-functional culture and gain exposure to all our partners we work with
- Adding experience with a non-profit leader in health and human services to your resume
Position:
- Fall semester
- Hours are flexible
- Credit or non-credit (if doing for credit follow your student internship packet guidelines and policies)
- Position is contingent upon successful background check.
- Must have own reliable transportation, valid Driver’s License, and proof of insurance.
- Stipend available upon completion of internship.
