Position Title: Development Assistant for the College of Liberal Arts

The College of Liberal Arts Development Office is responsible for raising private support for the College from our ever-growing community of supporters, including alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends. Donor support comes in many forms and ensures the continuation of the land-grant mission of Colorado State by providing student scholarships, faculty research grants, and support for innovative programs across campus.

The Development Assistant serves an important role for the Development Office, providing support around donor relations and communications, student scholarships, and special fundraising events. We are seeking a student to fill this role in Spring 2017, as a part-time, hourly position. Preference will be given to students interested in a multi-year commitment, and those who can work over the summer.

Wage: $10 per hour

Job Responsibilities:
• Clerical support to the Development Office staff
• Create and mail donor thank you letters
• Process receipts and travel-related documents for Development Office staff
• Attend and support the Development Staff at special events
• Database management
• Special projects, as assigned

Required Qualifications:
• Undergraduate student in good academic standing
• Positive attitude, motivated, and self-directed
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable interacting with high-level staff, faculty, and constituents
• Professional and customer-service oriented
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Programs
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Minimum 15 hours weekly beginning late April 2017 (must be able to work over the summer)

• Preference will be given to candidates who can make multi-year commitment and can work over the summer.
