CSU Events Graphic Design Intern

Position Overview:
The Graphic Design Intern will work in direct support of the Assistant Director for Communications in the CSU Events Office. Interns will gain hands-on experience developing invitations and marketing pieces for a variety of University events. The Graphic Design Intern will serve as a member of this CSU Events Communications team, which is committed to advancing the messaging and branding of the CSU Events team through the Web, print/electronic marketing pieces, social media and additional outlets.

Hours Per Week: Minimum of 10

 Work closely with the Assistant Director for Communications in development of event marketing and
communications materials.
 Assist in design and editing of event invitations.
 Develop content for the CSU Events & Constituent Engagement website.
 Ensure departmental adherence to University branding and communications guidelines.
 Research best practices regarding event communications.
 Additional communications, marketing, and event-related duties, as assigned.

 Current CSU student, available Fall of 2011
 Proficiency in Microsoft Windows
 Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
 Willingness and ability to work with a team
 Strong work ethic and commitment to detail
 Copy editing ability
 Creativity
 Sense of humor
 Web design and/or website content management experience a plus
 Interns are eligible to receive course credit.
 Preferred work commitment of two semesters or more (one-semester internships will be considered)
