SUMMARY
The Center for Living Environments & Regeneration (CLEAR) seeks a dynamic, motivated, and creative Communications & Marketing intern to support CLEAR programs. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working for a non-profit in the field of sustainability. The position is based in Fort Collins, CO.

ABOUT CLEAR
CLEAR (Center for Living Environments and Regeneration) is a start-up non-profit whose mission is to cultivate, empower, and equip change makers to create a regenerative future. We help business leaders reshape how they do business, support sustainability professionals in practicing regeneration, and educate college students to embrace regenerative thinking.

CLEAR’s core initiatives include:
• Living Environments in Natural, Social, and Economic Systems (LENSES): The LENSES Framework provides sustainability practitioners with a step-by-step process for creating living environments in their businesses, organizations, and communities. The LENSES Application Guide was launched in 2014 in conjunction with a LENSES Facilitator Pilot Program.
• Educational Resources: Our online resources include the LENSES Application Guide and inspiring case stories to raise awareness about the value of living environments and regeneration. CLEAR will also launch a series of educational videos in 2016 about living environments, regeneration, and LENSES.
• The CLEAR Nexus: In partnership with The Sustainability NEXUS in Philadelphia, PA, CLEAR will open a regional resource and workshop center to promote living environments and regeneration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications Support (90%)
• Develop and update content for the LENSES program, including a published application guide, print and web site promotional materials, online case stories, and other materials as needed
• Assist with graphic design to translate creative concepts into print, online, and other collateral materials
• Assist in CLEAR website updates
• Support development of fundraising collateral
• Collaborate with staff to develop communication and marketing strategies for promoting the LENSES program and other CLEAR initiatives
• Respond to external information requests, coordinating with staff as needed
Other (10%)
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as requested, with a sense of humor and team spirit. These duties may include Board of Directors support, operational and administrative support, or other responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent written communication skills
• Skilled in use of software programs including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Adobe Acrobat, InDesign 5 or 6, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Word Press
• Excellent organizational skills, including ability to excel at detail-oriented tasks, multi-tasking, and working under pressure
• Ability to think creatively about conceptual ideas
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about regeneration, living environments, and CLEAR’s mission
• Recent graduates or university junior, senior, or master’s student pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or other related field with commensurate experience
• Professional demeanor and comfort in talking to a diversity of people, including Board members, business leaders, sustainability professionals, university students, and community members
• Minimum one year office experience preferred

START DATE
The position starts immediately and will remain open until filled.

HOURS
20 hours per week from October 2015 to March 2016, with potential flexibility in end date.

COMPENSATION
Starting pay is $13/hour, and independent study credit may be available.
