The No Barriers Communications Team supports in marketing all three programs — Warriors, Summit and Youth — while also managing our No Barriers Pledge process. The Communications intern would work directly with the Communications Team to support their marketing and audience growth efforts.

The Communications Intern will be expected to:

Assist in creating and scheduling content (written, photo and video) for digital media properties including websites, eNews, and social media sites
Editing stories across all mediums (blog, video, podcast, etc.)
Assist in generating reports that gauge the effectiveness of our communications strategies to share with our Communications Team as we build out our plan
Assist with the creation of marketing materials (e.g. print and digital)
Perform market research
Coordinate the Communications Team’s data entry and mass mailings
Support additional communications needs as required
Internship Qualifications:

First and foremost, we are looking for applicants who are inspired by the No Barriers mission. In addition we look for: A self-motivated initiator who can work well on his/her own; Detail-oriented; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

The Communication Intern will gain exposure to the inner workings of a thriving non-profit organization during our busiest time of year. It is an exciting work environment with many opportunities for skill building and growth. We entrust our interns with important tasks and look for Interns who are seeking positions with real responsibilities.

Accepted intern will work in our office in Fort Collins, Colorado. Looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible. We review applications on a rolling basis.

Duration: March – August 2015: 15 hours per week, flexible schedule, unpaid
