Communications and Social Media Internship

The Office of CSU Events and Donor Relations is currently looking for a Communication and Social Media Intern to join our team this summer.

The Communication Intern will work in direct support of the Assistant Director for Event Communications in the Office of CSU Events. Interns will advance the messaging and branding of the CSU Events team through social media, the Web, print and electronic marketing pieces, and additional outlets.

Communication & Social Media Intern will:
• Work closely with the Assistant Director for Event Communications in development of event marketing and communications plans.
• Manage the department’s presence in various social media environments – including Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
• Draft content for the CSU Events & Donor Relations website.
• Assist in development and dissemination of event invitations.
• Serve as secondary liaison to University’s Social Media Committee.
• Write stories for SOURCE and additional campus media outlets.
• Additional event- and communications-related duties, as assigned.

• Current CSU student, available Summer and Fall 2015
• Willingness and ability to work with a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in social media marketing
• Copy editing ability
• Creativity
• Sense of humor

Interns are eligible to receive course credit.

Preferred work commitment of two semesters or more (students will be brought on as in an unpaid internship capacity for the summer with the option of being hired on for paid work in the fall semester)
