Communications and Social Media Intern

Position Overview:
LifePointe Church seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist in communication to our staff, congregation, and community through a wide variety of forms of communication, including web, print, social media, etc. We are looking for someone who can help us develop effective communication that builds community within our church body and helps our guests get connected and get to know us better.

Compensation:
• Not cash compensation, but option to live in church owned duplex with basic utilities provided
• Interns may also be eligible to receive course credit

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the staff in development of marketing and communications plans.
• Develop and manage the church’s presence in various social media environments
• Draft content for LifePointe’s website.
• Research best practices regarding event communications and marketing.
• Additional event- and communications-related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:
• A passion for communication excellence across all forms of communication
• Proficiency in social media marketing
• Interested in church communication
• Willingness and ability to work with a team
• Strong work ethic and commitment to detail
• Copy editing ability
• Creativity
• Sense of humor

Other:
• Graphic design experience a plus
• Video experience a plus
• Web design and/or website content management experience a plus
• Preferred work commitment of one year
