Broadcast internship–Kroenke Sports Enterprises

Kroenke Sports Enterprises is recognized as a leader in the Sports and Entertainment industry. More specifically, the Broadcast Department of KSE Media Ventures is recognized as one of the leaders in the industry. Our internship program is an excellent way of learning the skills necessary to prepare for a future in Broadcast Television and Broadcast Radio. Our Fall internship begins mid-August and goes through the end of December. Our internship program is uncompensated and the applicant must be receiving college credit for completing the internship.

Broadcast Department Internship includes the possibility of the following skills:

  • Training on Broadcast level equipment
  • Beta Cam and DVC camera shoots
  • Community Relations Shoots
  • Possibly working on in-game Jumbotron crew as needed by Director of Broadcast
    • Audio
    • Video
    • Tape
    • CG
    • Camera
    • Replay
  • Students are given the opportunity to be at Pepsi Center during home games for the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets to help in the Radio Department
  • Required to be at Pepsi Center during home and away games for the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets
  • Help set up and tear down the radio booth for the Nuggets
  • Help roll and cut highlights from around the NBA and NHL
  • Put together the scoreboard segment for the Avalanche
  • Work closely with Executive Producer Radio Jason Kosmicki and Avalanche Radio Producer Mark Bertagnolli with the Altitude Radio Network

Broadcast Services qualifications:

  • Unpaid position, able to earn school credit
  • Must be available 15-20 hours/week, including nights and weekends
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Prefer Television/Radio Production, Broadcast, Technical Communications, or similar major
  • Interest in sports television and knowledge of local sports teams is preferred
